Why Do Some People Feel Always Tired

Millions of people around the globe feel tired every day. Many people think that they are tired just because they did not get enough sleep for the previous nights. However, we should never narrow down the cause of tiredness to sleep. There are different factors that can make a person tired and this is what we are going to discuss in this article.

One big factor that makes people tired is technology. It is absolutely true that technology has made life easier and faster. However, it also made the world fast-paced and some people cannot easily catch up with it. This is one reason why people work overtime and often neglect relaxation activities. Another problem that technology brings is its lights. The light from gadgets and appliances make it difficult for the body to produce melatonin, a hormone which is greatly responsible in inducing sleep. Of course, it is not solely the fault of technology. Lack of discipline also plays a big role in the problem of tiredness. If you watch TV shows until early morning or you surf the internet all the time, this will really cause you tiredness. What you have to do is to turn off all your appliances and gadgets that emit light at night. In this way, your body can produce more melatonin and you can sleep better.

The lack of certain vitamins and minerals in the body can also result to constant tiredness. The body needs a considerable amount of vitamins and minerals to function properly. One particular mineral that causes tiredness when kept in small amount is iron. Iron deficiency is more common in women because women have menstrual cycles. Nevertheless, men can still have this condition if they do not have a proper diet. Tiredness caused by iron deficiency is often characterized by loneliness and nervousness. Other symptoms include difficulty in breathing and pale skin. It is not always easy to incorporate iron-rich food in your diet. If you are a vegetarian, you should eat more greens and beans. If you are not a vegetarian, eat more red meat and greens.
You can also consume Vitamin C-rich food at the same to improve the absorption of iron into the bloodstream.

Another mainstream cause of tiredness is depression. Researchers have shown from studies that a certain percentage of people who feel exhausted constantly suffer from depression. One reason for this is the lack of motivation. When people do not have the drive to do things they want to do, they become inactive and tired most of the time. This can also be accompanied by difficulty in sleeping and loss of appetite. One effective way to treat depression and tiredness caused by it is through exercise. Exercise increases the level of endorphin hormones in the body which make people feel happy and light. For severe cases of depression, counseling is the best help that someone can get. Do not always blame lack of sleep for your tiredness. Although it is the most common cause of feeling tired, it is not the only thing in this world that can make you constantly exhausted.
