At one point or another, you may feel tired and you just do not want to work on something, or you are just too exhausted to make good decisions, or to carry out even the simple tasks for the day. Understanding what causes tiredness can be your key to dealing with it and overcoming this problem as well.

Feeling tired, especially if it is persistent, can be distressing. Most often, it can affect your concentration, your focus, your health and can also lead you to doing poorly with your job and in any decision you make. At times, it can also lead to depression.

What causes tiredness can vary from individual to individual. Sometimes, it can be as simple as lack of exercise to some other illnesses that cause constant tiredness. Here are some known causes of tiredness that might give you an idea on how to overcome it.

- Lack of sleep. If your body is deprived of that good night sleep, its tendency is to feel tired the entire day. Sleep allows your body to relax and recharge to help it function well the next day. Eight hours of sleep is recommended. Do not also push your body to the limits at the cost of depriving yourself with a good night sleep. If you have sleep problems like insomnia, you may also want to find remedies for that to have that good sleep your body needs.

- Stress. High levels of stress can be a major cause of tiredness and restlessness. A few minutes of meditation every morning, or a visit to the beach, or a good relaxation technique can be your weapon against tiredness caused by stress.

- Illness. Some cases of persistent tiredness can be a symptom of an underlying condition or illness. Anemia and the thyroid disease, hypothyroidism, are among the illnesses that may bring about tiredness.

- Other disorders that can also cause and lead to tiredness includes depression and eating disorders like bulimia and anorexia.

- Alcohol use. Consuming alcohol regularly, even at moderate amounts, can also lead to tiredness. If you have been an alcohol user and you are on the process of stopping from alcohol use, tiredness can also be one symptom of withdrawal.

- Dehydration is also another cause of tiredness, thus you should keep replenishing and hydrating your body with fluids. Do not forget to drink the recommended eight glasses a day to keep your body hydrated, especially if you are working out or engaged into some physical activity.

- If you are overweight, you will most likely feel fatigued or tired often, aside from the fact that it will be a little harder for your body to move around. If this is what causes tiredness in your case, having a healthy diet and regular exercise would help a lot.

Even if you are not overweight, regular exercise will still help a lot in overcoming tiredness and fatigue. It is best to exercise in the morning to help you get energy for the entire day. Not only will exercise give you the energy, it will also help you have a good night sleep and give you your needed rest.

What causes tiredness may not be too complicated. If you are pushing yourself too hard, you might just need to have a time to rest.
