They will be able to administer prescriptions as well as bathe and dress your loved one, and provide hygiene for them.

A provider should be able to offer transportation to the physician and any other check ups needed. Seek a company who will provide this services for your loved one, when you are unable to take them. A provider can also run errands for the elder patient they care for, such as take them to get groceries or their prescriptions.

These type of services will usually be covered by your father or mothers health insurance. For services that are not though, you will want to work out a payment plan with the company. Make sure you get in writing what type of services will be covered and which will require out of pocket expenses.

Do not hesitate to interview the person who will be the provider for your loved one. After all you will be trusting him or her to watch over the person you love, while you are at work or unable to. Interviewing them will allow you to trust your instinct, about whether this person is someone you would want watching over a loved one.
