Properly Applying Blush to Your Cheeks

Personal beauty is one of the most important things for many teenager girls. They spend hours and thousands of dollars on products and procedures that can make them more beautiful.

This low level of self-esteem is not surprising. The media portrays extremely thin models with computer enhanced beauty.

These girls are chasing beauty through two main methods. Those who can afford it follow the example of the celebrities and have cosmetic surgery done on themselves.

Cosmetic surgery procedures are permanent for the most part, but they are extremely expensive. However, surgeons can reduce the size of your nose and ears or perform variety of other procedures.

While permanence is appealing, it can also be a disadvantage if you end up with a result that you are not pleased with. Occasionally mistakes are made that require thousands of more dollars, pain, and recover time to repair.

However, a much more affordable option for enhancing beauty that many girls select is the application of makeup. The application of makeup is not permanent and often needs to be applied several times a day.

On a small budget, makeup can make a huge difference. One of the types of makeup that many women apply is blush.

Not all women wear blush because it is a matter of personal preference. However, when it is applied correctly blush will automatically make you appear happier and can brighten your look by adding a little color to your face.

Unfortunately when it is applied too heavily, you will look like you belong on the stage instead of walking around school. This is a beauty disaster that should be avoided.

As you apply blush, be very careful not to apply too much. Blush should be applied after you have applied the foundational layer of concealer and powder.

When you are ready to apply it, carefully choose your brush. One of the biggest mistakes that girls make when applying blush is that they apply it with the compact brush that comes with the blush in the package.

The blush brushes are too small and will not give you the soft look you are looking for when you apply blush. These brushes will make your blush look streaky, striped, uneven or too heavy.

Instead, invest in a large fluffy brush to apply your powdered blush. These kinds of brushes will avoid a look that is too streaky, striped, uneven, or too heavy.

It will give you a very soft look that blends in with the rest of your make up and face. This is necessary for properly applying blush.

After you have selected your brush, you will need to choose your color of blush. The color of your blush should flatter your skin tone.

Blush should add some color to your face, but it should not be bright or distinctive. This kind of makeup always looks better when it is applied in a subtle and natural looking way.

After you have selected the right color of blush, you will lightly dust your brush across the powder. Then, tap the brush on the side of the container to remove any excess blush that would make the color too dark.

Smile at yourself in the mirror when you are done removing the excess blush. By smiling you will be able to know where the apples of your cheeks are.

The apples of your cheeks are where you should light brush the blush on. When you apply the blush, move the brush in a light circular motion over the apples of your cheeks.

In addition, add a very light layer of blush toward your temple. Then, put the brush down and blend in the color.

You do not want to have specific lines between the blush and the rest of your face. That look is reserved for clowns and those who perform on stage.

As you apply the blush, only add a little at a time. You can always add more as you need it, but you will have to completely start over it you accidentally apply too much blush.

It may take a little practice for you to decide how much color looks the best on you. However, when you apply blush correctly, it can really enhance the look of your face.

You will look brighter and more cheerful. This is more attractive in almost every situation including school, work, and other social situations.

As a result of the correct application of blush you may find more success in your life. You will also experience a greater level of self-esteem.
