Overcoming Reasons to Not Exercise

There are many different reasons that people do not exercise. However, most of these reasons are not really a problem.

There are many reasons that people do not exercise as often as they should. Some reasons are legitimate, but most excuses that people turn to are not.

The number ten top reason eh people do not exercise is because they become subject to apathy. They believe that exercise is simply too much work and they will not put in as much effort as exercising requires.

Instead of reaping the benefits from their hard work, they would rather let their bodies fall apart slowly but surely until they cannot do many of the things that they enjoy doing. This is one of the poorest excuses to not exercise.

There are so many benefits that exercising has to offer, but he or she will not enjoy those benefits because he or she is too lazy. Laziness is a growing problem when it comes to exercise.

Exercise has become so much easier and convenient with the invention of the stationary bike. The stationary bike simply sits in your home waiting for you to use it every day.

All you have to do is go sit on it and start pedaling during your favorite show instead of reclining in an easy chair. You do not have to face bad weather, horrible fees, or travel time to a gym.

The ninth most popular reason people do not exercise is because they feel embarrassed or are uncomfortable exercising in public. This is a common and very real feeling, but it is not reason to not exercise.

With the home stationary bike, you can exercise in the privacy of a room that no one will walk into. Exercise is not something that is only done in public anymore.

The eighth most popular reason that people choose not to exercise is because they are afraid that they will hurt themselves, develop health problems, or that it will be uncomfortable. This is ironic because exercise is one thing that can help prevent injury and health problems.

It may be uncomfortable, but not painful. While some forms of exercise may be injury prone, there are many forms of exercise that are not.

For example, on the stationary bike, you sit there and pedal. You are not bouncing up and down or at risk for injuring your ankles or breaking a bone.

In addition, you get to choose the pace that you workout at. If something starts to hurt, you can stop, but over time you will build up more endurance as long as your keep working at it.

The sixth most popular reason to not exercise is that it is boring. While this is true sometimes, there are many things you can do to overcome this.

For one thing, you can do a different type of exercise every day. You can also run a new route every day if you are a runner.

With the introduction of the home machines you can also enjoy home entertainment while you exercise. Listen to new music, watch a new movie, or play a video game while your exercise.

The fifth most popular reason people avoid exercising is because of the distance or inconvenience of going to a place where you can exercise. Again, home exercise machines have solved this problem.

The fourth most popular reason people avoid exercising is because of the expense involved. This is a legitimate concern, but there are many forms of exercise that do not take any money.

Take a run down the street or perform squats and crunches in your living room. These things do not require any money and can help you stay as healthy as more expensive forms of exercise.

The third most popular reason people avoid exercising is because they become discouraged because it is not enjoyable or it is painful. There is an initial soreness, but this quickly fades leaving you stronger and faster.

The rewards for overcoming the initial hump are tremendous. Try to develop the mental strength to get through this and you will start to enjoy exercising.

The second most popular reason to not exercise are complaints of being too tired or lacking energy. Exercise can make you feel less tired or lacking in energy if you simply get started.

The number one more popular reason to not exercise is that people are simply too busy. However, if you decide that exercising is a priority you would find time for it.

You will not regret your decision to overcome your excuses. There are so many benefits that you can enjoy if you exercise.
