Later on, this leads to formation of plaque which narrows the blood vessels. This makes it more difficult for the heart to pump blood to the whole body. This condition can lead to stroke, heart attack and other related diseases.

Olive oil can replace the unhealthy fats in your body with monounsaturated fats which are known to be beneficial for over-all health and wellness. It can lower down the blood pressure and reduce risks of heart attack.

2. Olive oil as cancer inhibitor

Oleic acid, which is a component of olive oil, has a natural property of reducing the effect of oncogene. This is a cancer-inducing gene in the human body. Consumption of fats can increase risks of cancer. However, olive oil can do otherwise. Olive oil can actually protect your body from carcinogens.

3. Olive oil can control blood sugar levels

Diabetics are advised by their doctors to consume foods that contain olive oil or had been prepared with olive oil. One excellent diet combination that is ideal for diabetics is low-fat, high carbohydrate diet prepared using olive oil. Another health property of olive oil is that it can reduce the levels of triglycerides in the body. This further strengthens the role of olive oil in the promotion of good health, wellness and disease prevention.

4. Olive oil can help you lose fat

Olive oil can be used by dieters because of it can reduce fat. Nutritionists and dieticians recommend the use of olive oil among individuals who are on a strict diet in order to lose weight. Olive oil is referred to as an healthy oil.

Olive oil is more expensive than regular cooking oils. However, if you will recognize its properties and pay more attention to its health benefits, you will realize that it is a wiser and more practical choice. Olive oil is healthy and can reduce risks of various illnesses. Furthermore, it is a tasty treat for those who want to live and eat healthy.
