First, you have to make sure that you learn how you are going to prioritize your time. There are a lot of people that struggle with time management in college because for the first time they will not have their parents looking over their shoulder.

You have to make sure that you are taking the time to understand that you need to have balance. There are a lot of people that struggle with the idea that they are going to have to give up some fun activities to be sure that they get the necessary activities in.

To have balance you have to make sure that the most important things in your life come first. There are a lot of people that have a hard time understanding how they are going to make their priorities evident in the activities that they participate in.

Sleep is something that a lot of college students do not understand the importance of. You have to make sure that you are taking the time to understand that you should not be letting yourself go without getting the proper amount of sleep.

When you are not getting enough sleep it will become very difficult to fight off infections and other sicknesses. You have to be sure that you understand how you are going to keep yourself healthy and the first step to doing that is making sure that you are not letting yourself get sick.

You should also be sure that you are taking the time to understand how you are going to squeeze in some exercise. If you are not a collegiate athlete you may feel that exercise is the lowest item on your to-do list.

You have to make sure that you are taking the time to understand that although it may not seem extremely important now, it is. The repercussions of not exercising will be negative and they will affect you in the short term and in the long term.

While you are taking the time to learn how you are going to be wise about your exercising you should also make sure that you are not exercising too much. Using exercise as an escape from your studies can also be very mal beneficial.

Finding the balance in all things is very important. When you are in college it can be hard to find balance because of all of the different activities and people that are demanding some of your time.

You have to make sure that you understand how to say no to certain activities and how to say yes to others. Another struggle that a lot of people will deal with when they are working to become a better college student is getting along with their roommates.

When you are in college it can be extremely difficult to get along with roommates. You have to be sure that you are taking the time that you need to understand how to be flexible and how to be open and honest with roommates.

There will be times when you will need to compromise and there will be times when your roommate will have to compromise. The only way that you can reconcile problems is by taking the time to talk to your roommate.

Some people have a much harder time with their roommate than necessary simply because they do not know how they are going to talk to each other. Taking the time to talk with one another is absolutely necessary when you are trying to get along.

You can be healthy throughout college. Make sure that you prepare yourself the best you can to make it through your college years successfully is important.
