The reasons for tiredness can be classified into two. First, the causes induced by human action and second, the causes brought about by different physical, medical and psychological conditions. Let us discuss 5 from each cause starting from the former.

Poor nutrition. People can feel tired easily if they do not have the necessary nutrients the body needs. This is caused by not eating well. Eating foods rich in fat and sugar is bad for the health, so as fast food and preservative-rich foods. Therefore, you must eat healthy foods more such as fruits, vegetables and foods rich in omega 3s.

Dehydration. Water is essential for the body because it cleanses the body from toxins and it also dilutes the blood. If the body lacks water, the blood becomes thick and it will become more difficult for the blood to travel through the blood vessels. This can cause the heart to function more which later on leads to energy loss.

Sleep Deprivation. When you are deprived of sleep, you are also deprived of energy because the body continues to work for longer hours. Instead of resting, the body is forced to use more energy. Sleeping for a good 7 hours or so can help you in fighting tiredness.

Stress. Mental strain can also cause the body to feel tired. When you are stressed, it is sometimes difficult to do physical work or eat healthy because you may feel disinterested in doing them. Also, stress causes the reduction of endorphins or the happy energy hormones.

Lack of Exercise. Physical exercise improves the overall condition of the body and can make the body more susceptible to physical strain. If you exercise more, you can have a higher endurance and it will take longer time before you tire out.

Now that you know the human induced reasons for tiredness, let us now go to the medical and psychological causes.

Anemia. The insufficient amount of iron in the blood can make you feel tired because iron is the main nutrient found in red blood cells and helps in transporting oxygen to all parts of the body. The lack of iron and oxygen can make you experience fatigue more easily.

Allergy. There are many types of allergies but almost all of them cause tiredness. This is because the body needs much energy to fight the foreign bodies that have entered the body in the form of allergy.

Depression. This is a psychological condition that causes tiredness by encouraging sleep deprivation and loss of appetite. When you are depressed, there is a higher chance to feel tired all the time because your brain is mentally strained and you cannot get enough rest.

Diabetes. Very high level of sugar in the blood can make you feel tired because the sugar or glucose in the blood is not converted to energy. Most of the sugar intake of diabetic people is usually stored instead of being converted to usable energy.

Chronic Diseases. Chronic and degenerative diseases can also cause tiredness because the organs are little by little becoming deteriorated. Treatments of diseases like cancer also cause too much physical strain and therefore lead to loss of energy.
