Anyone might want to know how to get rid of forehead lines? Wrinkles in that area are often deeper than they are elsewhere on the face. If you have them and your mother or father had them, then genetics might be a factor. But, in most cases, it comes from not wearing a hat and spending lots of time in the sun. Don’t worry. You can fix it.
UV radiation from the sun is responsible for about 90% of the signs of aging. Poor health, medication, poor nutrition and genetics, which I mentioned above, are contributing factors. As we get older, the body produces fewer new skin cells and elastic fibers, which is also a problem. And, there are lower levels of an important glue-like compound called hyaluronic acid. That’s an issue, as well.
Even when you take all of those things into consideration, UV radiation from the sun is still the biggest problem. But, what does that have to do with how to get rid of forehead lines? Damage done is damage done. Isn’t that right?
For decades, we have known that UV radiation stimulates the production of free radicals. We have also known that free radicals are one of the causes of cellular aging. We knew that antioxidants like vitamin A, C, E and coenzyme Q10 could prevent free radical damage, but no one was sure that they could repair the damage.
Now, studies indicate that antioxidants can repair free radical damage throughout the body. Topically applied creams containing coenzyme Q10, in a reduced form that penetrates deeply, have been shown to repair sun damage, reverse wrinkling, improve softness and improve the skin’s moisture content after only six weeks of use.
Using creams containing coenzyme Q10 may be how to get rid of forehead lines caused by sun damage, according to those studies. But, there are ways to address the other causes of an aged appearance, too.
For example, creams containing the protein keratin have been shown to stimulate the production of new cells and fibers, increase firmness, improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture and reduce redness caused by inflammation. As with coenzyme Q10, the manufacturer must use the right form of keratin or it will not be effective.
I would have to say that the use of creams containing both the reduced form of coenzyme Q10 and the bioactive form of the protein keratin is how to get rid of forehead lines. I believe there is enough evidence to make that statement. Numerous clinical trials have been conducted and in all cases, there was some improvement.
There is an additional cosmetic advantage of bioactive keratin, as well. The consistency of the protein bends light just slightly, making wrinkles look less deep than they actually are. As time goes by, the cosmetic effect becomes “real”.
So, that’s how to get rid of forehead lines, but to keep them from coming back, remember to wear a hat when you are out in the sun. Become a shade lover and you’ll look younger for it.
