A common goal of just about every male walking the planet is to build bigger arms. And despite how popular this achievement may be it evades most men who step foot into the gym with the goal of building bigger arms. The poor saps who can’t build big arms just don’t know what they’re doing when they go into the gym and that’s big reason why they fail to build big arms. Follow the three fool-proof steps below to bigger arms guaranteed.

One of the biggest reason guys fail at building bigger arms is because they only work out their biceps. If all you’re doing is curls then you’re a victim of this. There are three muscles you want to make sure you work out when working out your arms. First and foremost you want to make sure you work out your triceps. The triceps consists of three “heads” and you should include one exercise that targets each triceps head in your workout. There are plenty of sample workouts online and you can always find example workouts in muscle and fitness magazines locally.

The other muscle that most forget to workout is called the brachialis. The brachialis is located on the outside of your arm between your triceps and biceps. You can target this muscle by doing hammer curls in your workout routines.

Another big reason guys fail to build big arms isn’t because they don’t work out hard enough or long enough it’s because they aren’t eating the right food. Diet and nutrition is key in building muscle and the one nutrient you absolutely can’t do without is protein. You need protein if you want build muscle so make sure you consume at least one gram of protein per pound of body weight.

Another key nutrient in building muscles is/are carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are basically fuel for your body and as you start to work out more and more you’ll start to need more and more carbohydrates. You don’t want to overdo it with carbohydrates but you definitely want to make sure you consume enough to fuel your workouts. If you find yourself burning out or running out of energy in the middle of a workout then you’re probably not consuming enough carbohydrates beforehand. Make sure you consume a good meal at least an hour before your workout.

And finally another big reason guys fail to build big arms is because they place their arm exercises at the tail end of their workouts. Meaning you’ll workout your back or your chest or your shoulders first in your workout and then you’ll follow that with your biceps or your triceps exercises.

If you want to build big arms you’re going to have to to prioritize your arms and place them first in your workout. It is strongly recommended that you go a step further and work out your arms on there own day. Workout your biceps and your triceps on the same day and give them 12 sets a piece.

There you have it. Building big arms doesn’t have to be arduous and you should’ve noticed that building bigger arms means focusing less on your biceps and more on the surrounding muscles.
