It does not have to be that hard with an at home weight loss program. With the right amount of motivation and desire to reach your goals you do not have to worry about gym fees, opening and closing hours or the worry of feeling self conscious working out in front of others. With little financial investment you just need to find the right area and the tools to get your body where it needs to be.

Before begin your at home weight loss there are a few things you should consider. You need to first find a suitable open area that will give you enough space to move around freely. Make sure this space is in an environment that motivates you and has few distractions. Basements can be ideal for home gyms since they usually have a large open space and can support heavy equipment. Some people find it difficult to work out at home due to lack of motivation but others find it very convenient, especially those with small children. For small children investing in a baby swing can help by you time to workout while keeping your baby busy.

For those who are on a small budget there is exercise equipment you can purchase at a low cost. A jump rope is a cheap fitness tool that works all of your muscles and can be done just about anywhere. A fitness ball can be used for many different exercises working out all kinds of muscles while also helping your posture. If you have a larger budget for your home gym then you can purchase a treadmill or an elliptical machine. at home weight loss workouts have even moved to things such as Wii fitness, DVD workouts and Exercise TV. The options are endless leaving you with few excuses not to get in a good workout.

When starting your at home weight loss program it is important to try and find a schedule you can stick with. When you give yourself specific times and days to workout then you feel more accountable. Some easy workouts you can do at home can be as simple as walking around your neighborhood. Walking, jogging or running are the cheapest cardiovascular workout you can get. If you have a walking partner then that will make it easier for you to become motivated. If you have a pool then swimming can also be a great exercise you can do at home.

There are many other exercises you can do at home to workout your legs, arms, butt and abs. Squats and lunges happen to be a great at home exercise. Make sure your feet are shoulder width apart and your torso is straight as you bend your knees lowering your body so your thighs are parallel with the floor. With a fitness ball there are many exercises you can do to work all of your abs or even core exercises you can do on the floor such as the plank. If you have mirrors to workout in front of then even better. Watching yourself do exercises in the mirror will help you adjust your form so you do not strain or pull an muscles.

Next time you use the excuse you cant afford the gym, remember all the free exercises you can do right in your home to achieve your at home weight loss goals.
