If you are a woman who is losing your hair this can be an incredibly devastating experience. Many women spend a great deal of time fixing their hair and making it look just right. Their self-confidence can be seriously diminished if they are losing their hair. It is a great deal more problematic for women than it is for men in the same situation. Women are viewed in society based on the way that they look. Whether that is right or wrong it is reality.
A young girl learns how to behave as a girl from her mother. If a young girls mother spends a great deal of time on her appearance the child will grow up believing that is how women are supposed to behave.
If that young girl grows up to lose her hair she will feel a terrible feeling of low self esteem. She will feel as though she is no longer able to behave, as a woman should.
You might be surprised at how common hair loss is in women. As common as it is there are many treatments available for women with hair loss. You will need to check with your doctor to determine the cause of the hair loss.
The reasons for hair loss in women are different than it is for men. For men their hair loss is because of genetic reasons while with women it is for other reasons.
Stress, illness, diet, age, medication, and hormones usually cause a woman’s hair loss. These are the main causes of hair loss by women. The best thing you can do if you are having a hair loss is to try to reduce the amount of stress in your life.
Women are usually extremely stressed because of their busy lives. Most women have to strike a balance between work, family and everyone’s busy schedules. This balance can be hard to achieve and maintain. The stress of all of this can make it difficult for a woman to properly take care of herself. She may eat a poor diet because she is busy running around town trying to take care of everyone in her life.
Your hair requires nutrition to be healthy and strong. If you do not get enough nutrition in your diet you may begin to suffer from hair loss.
Sometimes the cause of hair loss is an illness that has been undiagnosed. If you are experiencing a hair loss you should check with your doctor to see if there is a medical reason for your loss of hair. There may be a way to treat the illness that will prevent further hair loss.
Aging is another reason why women will experience a hair loss. As a woman ages her hair begins to thin and may fall out. This usually begins to occur around age fifty. There are some good solutions to this type of hair loss that will be able to keep it at a minimum. If you check with your doctor and visit a dermatologist you should be able to find a treatment that works for you.
The hormone changes that a woman may experience in her life can contribute to hair loss. This is another reason to consult with your doctor for a possible treatment plan. You can have your hormones put into a better balance with your doctor’s help.
There are also some medications that may cause a hair loss. You should keep track of the symptoms or side effects that you may be having from a new medication. You might be able to change your medication to one that will not cause your hair to fall out.
