Especially for women, the butt is one of the parts of the body that we sometimes want to shape, enhance and tone. Indeed, problems with cellulite are often found in the butt and exercises for the butt are among the natural ways to get rid of the fat deposits and have a well-toned butt.
If you are looking for a safe and permanent way to firm and tone your butt, here are some exercises that will help you with it. Remember too that you need to do your exercises correctly and make sure that you do stretching and warm-up exercises before doing the exercises to avoid injuries.
Cardio for your cellulite
The simplest exercises for the butt that you can start with are cardio exercises. They do not only burn fat around the butt area and your lower body but also other parts of the body that needs more burning of calories. The easiest and most convenient is walking. You can also do jogging to burn more fat. Especially if you want to get rid of cellulite common in abdomen, thighs and buttocks, walking and jogging are the easiest you can start with. You can also add hiking to burn more fat and work out your lower body.
Squat for your butt
The squat is one of the effective exercises for the butt and the whole entire lower body. You can do the squat at home or at the gym with some simple equipment like the exercise ball, dumbbells or the barbells. If you are at home, you can do the squat using a chair to help you get the proper form, especially if you are a beginner. Other squats that you can do is the ball squat, which uses an exercise ball to support your back while you squat, or you can also do a squat at the same time lifting dumbbells on both hands.
Lunges
Lunges are also popular and effective exercises for the butt, especially if you are using dumbbells with it. Aside from the butt, they also tone and firm your thighs as well as your hamstrings. You can do the lunge by standing with the feet slightly apart and then stepping one foot forward before lowering your whole body slowly. Your knees should bend as your body moves downward. Stop when your thigh in the front leg is parallel to the floor. You can then return to your first position and repeat the exercise up to 10 times. Dumbbell lunges are done the same but with dumbbells in both hands. Make sure too that you are doing this exercise correctly as improper execution can also lead to knee injury.
The simple step-up
Another very simple exercise you can do for your butt and your thighs is the step-up exercise. You can do it on the stairs at home but always start with the lowest step. It is done by simply stepping up and down on one step. You can also add weights to your step-ups to make it more intense.
These are just three most common exercises for the butt and thighs. You can actually find many other butt exercises that will give you that well-toned behind and firmer thighs as well.
