Once more, there is a division. The lenses are colored, one is opaque and causes a total change of eye color appearance and the other is semi-opaque and makes no change. The other type is a lens, which is given a slight green or blue hue simply to make it easier to find.
The benefits of the contact lens over spectacles, especially for the fairer sex are fairly obvious and not surprisingly, are a main player in the fashion stakes. They provide comfort and appearance enhancement plus virtually anyone of any age can use them. Having said that, the contact lens industry is still relatively new and continues developing and improving technologically.
The soft contacts are the most popular since they are the most comfortable to wear. However, some contact lens wearers favor the more rigid gas permeable sort.
