The quest for the holy grail of today is the quest for personal beauty. Beauty is very important to most Americans.
This is mostly due to our culture and the fact that the media put such a big emphasis on what is considered to be beautiful. Today, there are many different ways and methods that people seek to gain beauty.
Sometimes these methods work, and other times they do not. In some cases, the procedure even makes people appear worse than they did originally.
Despite this risk, many people will still pay thousands of dollars to try and become more beautiful. One of the growing beauty industries is plastic surgery.
Cosmetic surgeon can reconstruct almost any part of the body today. These methods are very expensive and sometimes they are not even permanent.
Another popular method of gaining beauty even though it is temporary is the application of makeup. There are many different components of makeup.
Again, the improper application of makeup can even make you appear worse than you do without makeup. It is very important that makeup is applied correctly if it is going to be worth your time and effort.
One of the components of makeup that make one of the biggest differences in appearance if applied correctly is bronzer. The cosmetic is responsible for making you look like you have been touched by the sun.
A slight sun touched look is absolutely gorgeous. However, a complete dark look due to heavy application of bronzer will not improve your look at all.
Knowing when, where, and how much suntan cosmetics to apply is critical to the successful use of bronzer. The first thing you will want to do when you are ready to apply this cosmetic glow is select your brush.
The brush you choose to apply bronzer with should be large and fluffy. A large powder brush or large blush brush can be used.
The idea behind a large brush is that you want to be able to apply the bronzer to a large area without applying it too heavily. A larger brush can also help you avoid the streaky look that would scream you are wearing improperly applied makeup.
Once you have selected an appropriate brush, you will want to gently swirl it on your bronzer powder. You can use either loose powder cosmetic or a normal compact powder.
Both perform the job admirably with very little difference in the final effect. The main thing that you want to remember is that you want to only get a small amount of bronzer on your brush.
The key in applying all kinds of makeup is that it is much better to apply too little than too much. If you apply too much you will have to wash your work off and start over again.
It is the same with bronzer. It is always better to apply too little than too much because you can always add more easily.
Once you have put some of the product on your brush, tap it on the side of the compact to remove any of the excess powder that will make your look appear too dark in certain areas. Then, apply the bronzer to your face in a figure 3 pattern.
Begin at the top of the forehead and complete the three shape down the side of your face. The forehead should have a darker appearance than your cheek and jaw line.
The areas that you emphasize should be the areas that will be naturally touched by the sun. When you apply makeup you are trying to create a natural look.
Natural looks are always the most beautiful. This is part of why over applied makeup does not enhance beauty.
After you apply the bronzer you will want to make sure you blend it in the makeup that has already been applied. By blending it in, you will create a gentle glow instead of dark streaks.
Lack of blending will also scream that you do not know how to apply makeup. The best way to blend the makeup in is to use the brush with no powder on it.
Simply move the brush in a motion that will blend the areas that are too dark in. If you decide you need more color, only add a little at a time.
Too little bronzer is always better than too much. Suntan cosmetics that are correctly applied and blended can enhance your beauty tremendously.
