Contacts are a wonderful way in which people are able to live their lives free of glasses. However, the most typical contacts do not work for everyone. People living with astigmatism often suffer from discomfort in regular lenses. For this reason they may greatly benefit from Acuvue Astigmatism lenses.
Astigmatism is basically just an irregular shape to the cornea in your eye. This means that your eye is slightly skewed and not perfectly oval. This can cause discomfort in a regular lense and it does not form directly to your eye.
Astigmatism lenses were designed in order to help prevent these problems from occurring. Also, they allow for people with this eye dysfunction to still benefit from contact lenses. They form better to your eye and are made in a special cut that fits your specific eye perfectly. This is a great new invention that is able to help millions who suffer from this problem.
Many people who suffer from this misshape of their of their eye complain that their contacts are rather dry. Fortunately enough Acuvue has created a very moist lense that wont dry out. This is a great benefit so that you may comfortable wear your lenses throughout the day without switching to contacts.
Another benefit of this lense is that it is extremely permeable. This allows for roughly 97% of oxygen to reach the eye. This is what causes dryness and is the main concern when choosing to wear contacts at all.
Also, Acuvue has added one more enhanced feature that is not seen is all types of contacts. This is its UV protection capability. This is a great new feature that will keep you worry free when out in the sun.
The slight drawback to this purchase is that is can be slightly on the pricey side. However, this is true of any astigmatic lense. This is only because they are less common, made to fit your eye perfectly, and is a heavier lense.
This is also another drawback is that they are a heavier lense. Therefore, they are not necessarily as comfortable as you are used to originally. However, they will provide you with a much more perfected vision and the so-called heaviness will not phase you over time.
Overall, Acuvue astigmatism lenses are a wonderful purchase for those who suffer from this problem with their eyes. The most significant drawback is its heaviness but it is just as if you are wearing contacts for your first time again. It took some getting used to originally and it will only take a little time getting used to again. However, this time around will be much different because in the end you will receive crisp, clear vision. Also, you will never have to worry that your eyes are receiving enough oxygen with Acuvue. You are also able to re-wear the same lenses for up to two weeks in order to cut back on some costs. Unless money is no object you will most likely not want to purchase the daily versions of this specific kind of contact.
